About Us

Welcome to the City of Mt. Morris web site, we are pleased you have chosen to visit us on our site. We offer a family oriented, safe and quiet community, friendly neighbors, clean streets and great public service. Our friendly and professional City Hall Staff is available to assist you Monday 9-8, Tuesday-Thursday 9-5. They are closed from 12-12:30 for lunch. We are close to I-75 and I-475 which provide easy excess to shopping, entertainment, and a good reason to make Mt. Morris your home. We are close to Flint, Birch Run and Frankenmuth, all within 15 minutes. Detroit and Lansing are only 1 hour away. We have a district library and several churches of your choice.

Our police department provides 24 hour friendly police protection. For general inquires and assistance the police station is open Monday through Thursday 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. They can be reached by telephone at (810) 686-4400. Please visit our police department page for further information but, please know if you require the assistance of a police officer, regardless if it's an emergency or non-emergency, please dial 9-1-1. Our on call fire department is noted as the best in this area with an average response time of under five minutes. Our public works crew are extremely dedicated and our public administration welcomes you. We strive to be efficient and cooperative. 

You are welcome to attend our regular council meetings and have an opportunity to serve on many boards and commissions. City of Mt Morris Charter Signed in 1930. City of Mt Morris is 1 1/4 Square Mile and is a friendly and safe small hometown!
