About the Department

Duties & Powers

The Mt. Morris Fire Department is centrally located in Genesee County, Michigan and covers the City of Mt. Morris and portions of Genesee Township, Thetford Township, and Vienna Township.

The Fire Department is an on call department equipped with two engines and one squad.
The City of Mt Morris Fire Department works closely with the Department of Public Works, the City of Mt Morris Police Department, City of Mt Morris Administration Offices and our neighboring fire departments. All calls for service are routed through Genesee County Communications Center by dialing 9-1-1.

Incident Reports

To obtain a fire report please do the following:

  • Contact City Hall to get a Fire Report Request Form
  • Complete the form and pay the $15.00 processing fee.
  • The form will then be given to the Mt. Morris Fire Department for review.
  • The report will be emailed unless otherwise noted.
